This was TLW’s first initiative to convert an already running store into a more developed experience-driven outlet with the intention of understanding customer response before scaling up across the industry. Before the upgrade the store recorded average daily sales of around ₹50,000. After the store reopened with a new design that focused on customer experience, sales on weekdays went up to ₹8–10 lakh. This strong response made the client feel much better about the idea and gave them a lot of confidence. TLW decided to upgrade their existing MG Road store as well, even though it had only been open for eight months and was mostly closed during the lockdown.
