This coworking space interior project was executed by Next BC at Regal Building, Connaught Place, New Delhi. The workspace was spread across two floors inside a heritage property.
The main challenge was removing the existing interior work without damaging the original building structure. Since the property is a heritage building, every civil and interior activity required extra care and controlled execution.
All old interior elements were removed carefully, and the base work was planned in a way that protected the structural integrity of the building.
To improve safety without disturbing the original framework, selective structural strengthening was also carried out where required.
After the base work was completed, modular furniture was installed to convert the heritage property into a modern coworking space. The final result was a functional workspace that respected the original character of the building.
